I know it isn't fall yet but I just couldn't wait any longer to pull out my Cocoa-Latte Maker and start making some hot drinks. I had inspiration for a delicious vanilla steamer that would include a special ingredient.
My aunt started selling doTerra essential oils and I quickly became interested. Click on the link to read more. I was able to get some free oils for hosting a doTerra class at my home and I love the ones that I received! The essential oil I use for this recipe is called On Guard. I was inspired to use it because I had woken up with a sore throat that morning and On Guard is supposed to help you with preventing sickness. Sure enough after using it, my sore throat has gone away and I plan to make this drink often to help me throughout the winter :) The flavor of the On Guard oil is a perfect and delicious touch to this drink!
Ingredients:
One cup of vanilla almond milk. (Just add some vanilla if you are using plain almond milk)
5 pieces of Raw Organic Cocoa Butter (This can probably be optional. I used it for a creamier texture)
A couple shakes of cinnamon (sprinkle cinnamon on top as well if you want)
1 tbspn of honey
1 drop of On Guard essential oil
I placed all of these ingredients into my Cocoa-Latte maker. This drink maker makes it so easy but if you don't have a drink maker, I am sure you can still make this by heating up your almond milk on the stove and add the ingredients and stir until the cocoa butter has melted completely.
Also, if you don't have the essential oil, the drink still tastes fabulous without! Maybe even add some nutmeg.
Enjoy :)
