Apple Hill

We went to Apple Hill Yesterday!!!!! I look forward to going to Apple Hill every year! We always get the best apple cider there, with apple cider donuts and Handmade corn dogs! :) The fall colors are just beautiful and i just love the feel and environment of Apple hill with all the booths, friendly people and families everywhere. We went by ourselves last year so we thought it would be fun to invite family this time. My dad got sick last minute and my mom was unable to make it, so it ended up just being me, Clay, Joe, and Andrea. We made a yummy breakfast beforehand and then got up to Apple Hill at around 10 am. We found the cutest shop there and I ended up buying an early Christmas decoration. The shop was owned by an older couple and there was no way I could leave without buying something from them :P After we got a map from there, we were able to find all the orchards that we enjoy visiting. At one of the orchards, they had a cute train ride. The driver was so adorable with his train hat....had to take a pic:

We looked around at the booths, joe and andrea bought their favorite apple cider, and then we ended at mine and claytons favorite orchard, Rainbow Orchard. We think they have the best apple cider ever!! Along with the best homemade corn dogs! The past two years Clayton and I have taken a corn dog picture together so we wanted to continue the tradition :)

We had a lot of fun up there and enjoyed the beautiful scenery on the drive there and back. There were so many cute things that I would have totally purchased if Clayton and I owned our own home with a backyard and what not. We will definitely be coming back in the future when we do have our own place to buy my favorite things we saw :P

Today, I used our apple cider to make Caramel Apple Cider in our Latte Maker. It was soooo delicious and the perfect sunday morning treat. To make it, I put about 2 cups of cider into the Latte maker, along with half a cup of caramel syrup, some brown sugar, cinnamon, cool whip, and vanilla. After it blended in the maker, I added more cool whip on top with caramel drizzle...mmmmm!

It was so nice to gain an extra hour this morning. Totally makes this weekend that much more perfect :) Happy Sunday!
