The fourth of July has to be one of my favorite holidays. Not only do I love fireworks, but I love relaxing with family all day and not having to cook anything fancy. It is just a totally laid back and fun day. This year was extra special because Clayton's best friend, Kyle, came home from his mission that day. I got to meet him for the first time at the airport :) Super cool guy and I am glad Clayton was able to finally see him after mannnny years.
I couldn't get a pic of them just standing still haha they were just too excited :)
After welcoming home Kyle, Clayton and I headed over to my mom's place to eat dinner with her, her husband, his son, Joe, Andrea, and my grandparents. It was nice hanging out in the backyard talking to my grandparents while every one else played a great game of football :)
After eating cupcakes and ice cream, we headed over to the Stake Center parking lot to do fireworks. We put them up on a ladder to have a bigger effect :P I was actually very impressed with the fireworks we had gotten. I thought we would get creative and do a kissing pic with fireworks. Best we could do with my iphone haha By the way, this was the first Fourth of July Clayton and I had ever spent together, so it was a pretty big deal hahaha
After the fireworks, we went home and went to bed, like an old married couple! :P It was definitely a wonderful day! Maybe next year we will be able to plan a big party at our place for friends and family. Woot Woot! Oh the possibilities that can occur when you have your own place haha
