So much fun!!

So I have a lot of catchin up to do! Its probably been a month now since this first pic was taken. Here's me and some friends at the temple after a fireside at the mormon center. It was nice to see Haley (girl in striped shirt). We hadn't seen much of each other since we graduated from high school, so it was fun catching up with her. :) I am so grateful to have the temple so close. I feel that I take it for granted...I need to put more effort in going and I think I could really use it.
Here's Bryan, Me, and Joe lol This day was so fun! We spent the afternoon singing our new favorite song and we took so many crazy pictures. I was able to put a video together of it all haha I love these two. :D
Nannying this summer has been a lot of fun. The kids I watch are so cute. I have learned so much from them. Pretty soon I wont be watching them as often because school is starting up again, but we have had a great summer together. Swimming, movies, splash pad, train rides, crafts, the park, games, and even painting nails haha Im gonna miss seeing them everyday.
A few weeks ago, I went on a date with Neal. Avonlea came, in hope for a date for herself haha but that didn't work out. So we all just hung out and Neal taught us how to play the song You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift. Surprisingly, I picked it up pretty fast and I love the guitar so much! I never want to put it down haha. After the guitar session, we ate dinner at Red Robin. Christian came with us and we had a lot of fun there. I laughed so much I had a hard time eating my food, which was delicious by the way. Clucks and Fries is where its at lol After, we hit up a dance party and then went moon roofing which wasnt exactly with a moon roof considering the car we were in didnt have one, so we just went out the side windows. I was a bit nervous doing this being that it was night time, on streets with no street lights, and it was a very hilly road, going at high speeds. I forced myself to do it after getting tons of pressure from my friends haha we didn't go as fast so that was comforting but it was a lot of fun and I am happy I did it :D
I think the next day, we went on a night hike with a huge group of people from singles ward. The hike was so fun, pretty long with some steep hills, but it was so worth it. The sky was incredible and we hiked to this awesome waterfall. A lot of us got in to swim. Of course, I slip on some mossy rocks and my ankle fell into a crack where I had no choice to fall on top of it. So I needed assistance getting out haha I banged my ankle up pretty bad but thank goodness the water was so cold it worked as an ice pack :D I eventually swam out to the waterfall and then layed on my back to stargaze in the water. Such an amazing experience. I hadn't seen so many stars in my life. It was really late when we started hiking back. My ankle just kept swelling and throbbed a little but it was all worth it and I had a lot of fun. I even met a few new people (:
The next night, I went on a double date with Neal, Riley and Kaitlin. We went stargazing at the same place we started our hike the night before. Such a gorgeous sky with amazing shooting stars. We could even see the milky way. :-0 We had a blast and got to know each other pretty well haha A few laughing attacks here and there. I don't think that stargazing experience could ever be beat!!
A few nights later, I went swing dancing with Neal, Riley and Kaitlin. I'm not the best swing dancer but Neal and I learned some cool moves and even made up a few of our own. We were pro by the end of the night haha It was a ton of fun...This is me and Neal in the car, after dancing it up :D
This last weekend was the YSA (young single adult) Conference. Friday night, a carnival activity was held at the fields outside of the temple. It was fun, Avonlea and I got our mingling on. Didn't meet that many new people but it was still fun. I found out that I'm actually pretty decent when it comes to throwing balls for the dunk tank. I got Riley dunked!! I was pretty proud about that haha The event ended at 10 pm but Avo and I left a little early and got Wendys for dinner.
Saturday, I babysat in the morning and then headed over to the 2nd day of YSA conference with Neal, Riley, and Crystal. We got there a little late so we waited in the cultural hall for the 'speed greeting' to start. That was interesting. Don't think I remember much about the different people I met and talked to but there were definitely some good laughs. haha After the 'speed greeting' we did a service project, listened to a speaker, ate dinner by the river, and then spent the rest of the evening at the Rivercats game. They had fireworks at the end!!! I was so excited and had been looking forward to it all day. Definitely made up for the fact that I didn't get to see a fireworks show for the 4th of July.
Above is the dinner at the river and below is us at the Rivercats game :)
This summer has definitely been a lot of fun and full of adventures. I've met so many great people and people that will be going up to the same school as me. I'm excited to get out and live on my own, become more independent. Still one more term here tho. Its gonna be a busy term for me too cause of all the classes I signed up for. I plan on it going by really fast tho. Cant Wait!!
